Having been on the yoga path for several years, Jason is passionate about the many benefits of yoga and making it accessible to all ages and all levels of practitioners.  It is Jason’s belief that yoga is not only a physical practice but also one of totality encompassing the body, heart, mind and spirit.  Jason believes that yoga is our natural state; when one strives to practice the yoga lifestyle, it is then this natural state is revealed.  Jason seeks to provide his clients with an opportunity to explore their own divine spark, empowering them to live more fully from their hearts and gain access to the wisdom within.

Jason is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT) and continuing education provider (YACEP).  His primary studies are based on the Anusara method which seeks to provide a unified approach of interweaving clear alignment principles, a non-dualistic tantric philosophical perspective and a skillful connection to the breath.  Jason received his RYT200 in June 2014 under the direction of Lila Rasa Brown and Sarah Pack Fisher. In June 2016 he completed his RYT500 under the continued guidance of Lila through Rasa Yoga.  He is an ambassador with Project Yoga Richmond and is a strong supporter of bringing yoga to those that might not otherwise have access.  Jason was trained in the Yoga with Nitya kids yoga program and has been teaching a pre-school age yoga class for several years.  Jason is passionate about brining yoga and mindfulness into a child’s life at an early age. Jason has also studied under Nikki Myers and has been trained to be a space holder in the Yoga of 12 step recovery (Y12SR) program. Y12SR is similar to a 12 step type program and also includes a themed yoga class after the meeting.

Jason has worked in the fitness industry for several years and completed the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) program in 2014.  In 2015, Jason achieved certification as a practioner of the Usui Reiki energy healing method at the 1 and 2 level.  In December 2017 Jason completed his training in massage therapy and became a licensed massage therapist (LMT) in January 2018.  Jason strives to blend together all his various training and certifications to provide his clients with a complete body, mind and spirit experience.
